China's environmental protection ministry Monday released a national air quality report which covers 74 cities adopted the new air quality standards in 2013.
Among them, the 10 cities having worst air quality are Baoding, Xingtai, Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Handan, Hengshui, Jinan, Langfang, Zhengzhou and Tianjin with seven of them from North China's Hebei province.
10 cities that reported best air quality are Haikou, Zhoushan, Lhasa, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Huizhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Kunming and Zhongshan, among which the top seven saw discharges of all PM2.5, PM10, nitrogen dioxide, carbon monoxide and ozone within the set targets.
