Four local officials have been arrested over allegations of accepting bribes or abuse of power, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) on Thursday.
The officials are identified as Chen Weimin, former chief of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Pingxiang City Committee of Jiangxi Province; He Weilin, former chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Pingxiang City Committee; Guan Hanmeng, a former senior executive of an arts college in Hubei Province; and Zeng Qingfu, former vice president of Wuhan Textile University.
Further investigations into the cases involving these officials are going on.
