Lester Hudson scored 36 points to help Liaoning beat Zhejiang 121-105 and take a 2-0 lead in the Chinese Basketball Association league playoffs on Monday.
Liaoning, ranked second in regular season, ran away with as many as 20 points in the second quarter.
"We made a lot of mistakes in the second quarter," said Zhejiang coach Li Chunjiang. "I don't know what to say after losing this way."
Liaoning, with coach Guo Shiqiang suspended for two games for challenging the referee on Saturday though, saw five players get double digits.
"We played very well today," said Liaoning's interim coach Jie Jun. "We were well prepared for the game."
Hudson, who has been voted as MVP of the foreign players, also had 10 assists and 3 steals.
Eli Holman had 29 points and 15 rebounds for Zhejiang.
