Maltese people have enjoyed another Chinese Acrobatics Gala Show on Tuesday evening at the St Benedict Primary School in Safi, one of the smallest villages in Malta located in the southeast of the islands.
The Acrobatic Troupe of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region from China, which has successfully debuted at the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta on Sunday night, has performed another intriguing Acrobatics Gala Show at Mayor of Safi Francis Callus' invitation.
Chinese Ambassador to Malta Cai Jinbiao, Director of China Cultural Centre Wang Yanjun, Mayor of Marsascala Mario Calleja and 200 Maltese people watched the show.
Ambassador Cai expressed his gratitude to the government of Malta for its most valuable support to the activity as well as the appreciation to Safi local council for the hard work and full preparation.
He said that the Chinese Acrobatics Gala Show had offered a great platform for the cultural communication of both countries and that the activity, rooted in the general public, provided more people with the opportunity to get to know the Chinese culture as well as the Spring Festival.
Mayor Francis Callus told Xinhua that he always want to see the Chinese cultural activities since he saw a Chinese art performance when he was a child, so he wanted to seize this opportunity to give the Safi people a chance to get to know more about the Chinese culture.
Carmen from the adjacent village Kirkop said "This is my first time to see the acrobatics show, and it was excellent. I used to see them on TV but if you see it like this it is really marvellous."
Keeping on learning from national and international remarkable program, the Acrobatic Troupe of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region has won several medals both nationally and internationally. It has visited dozens of countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America.
