5-magnitude quake hits Xinjiang   

新疆沙湾发生5.0级地震 距乌鲁木齐市区约160公里

A 5-magnitude earthquake hit Shawan County, Tacheng Prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 2:42 p.m.on Sunday, the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC) reported.

The epicenter was monitored at 44.1 degrees north latitude and 85.7 degrees east longitude with a depth of four km, according to the CENC.
