A magnitude 4.5 earthquake jolted southwest China's Yunnan Province on Monday. No casualties have been reported.
The earthquake struck Songming County in Kunming City at 5:59 p.m.. The epicenter was initially measured at 25.3 degrees north latitude and 103.1 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 12 km, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center
Several houses were damaged but no casualties were reported as of 7:30 p.m., according to the county government.
The earthquake also delayed several trains passing through the Kunming area, the city's railway bureau said. Operation of stations and railway lines near the epicenter was suspended for safety checks.
