A new round of technological and industrial revolution is unfolding and quite a few countries have put forward development strategies in the new situation, Li said in a video clip played at the opening ceremony.
Based on the national conditions and stage of development, the Chinese government has put forward a "Made in China 2025" strategy, which will serve as a roadmap for the development of the manufacturing industry in China for the next 10 years, Li said.
There will be greater potential and bigger room for cooperation between China and Germany to develop and utilize networked, digital and intelligent technologies, Li added.
Li pointed out that the theme of CeBIT 2015 fits well with the new demands for innovation cooperation between China and Germany. As the partner country of CeBIT 2015, China is willing to initiate the year of Sino-German innovation cooperation in 2015, which will complement the Industry 4.0 strategy of Germany, Li said.
China is willing to promote the in-depth development of Sino-German relations and cooperation and jointly unlock potential for win-win cooperation and common prosperity between the two countries, he said.
In her speech at the opening ceremony, German Chancellor Angela Merkel thanked Li for his kind greetings. She pointed out that China is the biggest trading partner of Germany in Asia and an important partner of Germany in the field of high-tech research and development.
Germany and China each have their own strengths in the field of digital economy and the two countries can complement each other through cooperation in this regard, Merkel said.
Chinese Vice Premier Ma Kai attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech.
