Beijing to open second 24-hour bookstore

Editor-in-Chief of SDX Joint Publishing Company Zhai Defang announced another branch of its 24-hour Life Taofen Bookstore will open April 23 in Haidian district, the Beijing Times reported.

The first Life Taofen Bookstore started running 24 hours a day last year, and its annual sales volume doubled to 20 million yuan ($3.19 million). The new branch will be located at the south gate of Tsinghua University and is aimed at readers under 40 years old. They plan to host reading salons on a regular basis.
