The English edition of chiculture.net, a Chinese website known as the Splendid Chinese Culture, will be launched by the end of 2015, the Academy of Chinese Studies, its operator, announced Tuesday.
The move is aimed to make chiculture.net a new platform to exhibit Chinese culture and civilization to western audiences, a statement from the academy said.
Translation of the Chinese version will be carried out by China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration, according to the academy.
The website, launched in 2000, features an array of content on Chinese life, history, literature and culture in the form of multimedia.
The academy said chiculture.net attracts readers from more than 130 nations and regions worldwide.
