Chinese Vice Premier Wang Yang wants improvements in the fight against piracy and counterfeiting.
Addressing a national conference on Wednesday, Wang ordered launching a campaign to improve the overseas image of "Made in China" products, mainly targeting goods sold to African, Asian, Latin American countries and along the proposed "belt and road".
Anti-counterfeit efforts will also be stepped up in the Internet sector, refined oil market and consumer markets in China's rural and suburban areas, Wang said.
Wang said the country has launched a string of programs to fight against piracy and counterfeiting since March 2013, seizing 85,000 suspects and effectively containing the spread of such illegal activities.
