A new method of integrating elderly care with the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatment will be introduced in Fangshan and Dongcheng districts this year as part of the Beijing TCM Administration's efforts to further promote TCM as a medical option, the Legal Mirror reported.
Ten consultation centers that feature both TCM and Western medical treatment will be built in the districts.
The administration also plans to see that TCM culture is mentioned in more detail in primary and junior high school text books.
A TCM promotion center will be built this year in Barcelona, Spain, to help spread TCM culture overseas.
