A regulation was adopted Friday that will see judges, prosecutors and police officers blacklisted and punished for illegally intervening in investigations and court proceedings.
The document was adopted by the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee at its plenary session.
Senior officials at law enforcement and judicial departments should be leading examples in safeguarding judicial independence, said Meng Jianzhu, head of the commission.
Last month, the Central Leading Group for Comprehensively Continuing Reform adopted a document to blacklist and punish Party and government officials who interfere in judicial activities.
