Sinochem in seed talks with Monsanto

Sinochem Group, a major State-owned agrichemicals conglomerate, is in talks with the US-based agricultural biotechnology company Monsanto for a joint venture in vegetable seeds in China, said Group President Liu Deshu Thursday on the sidelines of the annual sessions of the National People's Congress and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference in Beijing.

Sinochem's seed division, China National Seed Group, will carry out the cooperation with Monsanto, Liu said.
