China has permitted the Kuwait Investment Authority, that country's sovereign wealth fund, to invest about $300 million in yuan-denominated stocks and bonds, the state-run Kuwait News Agency reported.
The wealth fund may be able to increase investment in Chinese mainland's securities market every month until it reaches the $1 billion ceiling, the news agency reported, citing China's State Administration of Foreign Exchange. Any increase is subject to the approval of SAFE, it said.
