2012-03-23 10:55 Xinhua     Web Editor: Zhang Chan comment

A Chinese newspaper publisher on Tuesday began publishing a Korean-language biweekly in Seoul to boost exchanges between China and the Republic of Korea (ROK).

The newspaper, Today Korea, is jointly published by China's Jilin Korean-Language Newspaper Office and an ROK publisher, said Yu Changzhen, deputy editor-in-chief of Today Korea.

Today Korea targets Chinese nationals living in ROK, as well as ROK readers, Yu said.

The biweekly includes 12 pages, covering news topics that pertain to China, the ROK and their people, Yu said, adding that the paper also offers information services related to business investment, employment and legal assistance.

The Jilin Korean-Language Newspaper Office is affiliated with the Jilin Daily Newspaper Group.

"We aim to provide reliable information for both Chinese in the ROK and Koreans in China in order to further enhance bilateral economic and cultural exchanges," Yu said.

About 600,000 Chinese nationals, mostly people of Korean ethnicity, are currently living in the ROK, he added.
