360buy.com, an online B2C platform, has outsourced part of its group-buying business to 55tuan.com, a leading online group-buying website, a source close to the matter announced Thursday.
360buy's group-buying business offers entertainment deals as well as hotel and travel services. Analysts said that 360buy is likely using this move to reduce its operating costs. It is likely that 360buy only outsourced a part of its group-buy business due to concerns about a loss of traffic to its website, analysts added.
