China's consumer quality watchdog said Monday that Renault will recall a total of 1,272 imported Scenic 2.0-model cars in China starting on Tuesday.
The vehicles involved were produced between March 2004 and December 2005, said a statement on the website of the General Administration of Quality, Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine.
The statement said the screens on the dashboards of the cars involved have a flaw that may cause them to go black, the notice said.
The company's Beijing branch will fix the vehicles in question for free, the statement said.
