Two Chinese companies have won awards for the first time here at the annual Milan GrandPrix Advertising Strategies.
Communication plays a vital role in helping different countries encountering both on the cultural and economic aspects, said Rino Moffa, publisher of TVN Media Group, organizer of the event which awards excellent adverts every year.
"The aim of our GrandPrix is to bring Milan back to its tradition of a world capital for communication and public relations," Moffa told Xinhua on Monday.
Moffa especially welcomed the first awarding for Chinese adverts at the 25th edition of the GrandPrix, wishing the Chinese and Italian advertising worlds will have more opportunities for cooperation.
"Being the oldest advertising agency in China, we are proud of being awarded for our role of cultural bridge," said Kenny Wu, group creative director of Shanghai Advertising Limited which was awarded along with Midea Group.
The special award "GrandPrix Beyond Ocean" to Midea Group will directly be handed to the company in China by a representative of the GrandPrix, organizers said.
The president of the Milan-based National Fashion Chamber, Mario Boselli, said Italian top brands need to be promoted in China through high-quality adverts.
On Monday, a final top list of ten adverts was voted in Milan and an AVIS (association of voluntary Italian blood donors) advert was picked as the winner of 2012 GrandPrix.
This year special "graduate awards" were also given to students of local schools for realizing creative adverts of green energies.
