PetroChina Company Ltd, the country's biggest oil producer, agreed to form a strategic partnership with China Construction Bank late last month in Beijing.
The agreement, the first of its kind between the two, is expected to promote cooperation in traditional and emerging industries.
China Construction Bank has also promised more financial support to the oil producer.
