Chinese stock markets continued their weak performance on Wednesday as the benchmark index dropped half a percent, ignoring the recent rallies in global markets.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fell 10.56 points, or 0.5 percent, to close at 2,107.71 after once breaching below the key 2,100- point level.
The Shenzhen Component Index lost 123.47 points, or 1.4 percent, to close at 8,726.02 points.
