Swedish Trade Minister Eva Bjorling is going to visit China from Tuesday to Friday with a delegation of Swedish fashion industry, said the Swedish government in a statement on Monday.
The Minister aimed to accelerate export of Swedish fashion industries, a driving force for Swedish economy, on her visit to China.
A project called "Swedish Fashion Goes China" is going to take place in Shanghai where the delegation of fashion industry was going to see Chinese purchasers and a big exhibition of Swedish fashion collections would also be held.
"China has great potential for economic growth and as Swedish fashion industry is in a leading position in the world. I believe there is a great chance for Swedish fashion industry to get established there," said Bjorling in the statement.
"The government would like to make it easier for Swedish fashion industry to find a new market which is why this investment in China is important," she added.
The minister is also going to inaugurate an exhibition called "Innovative Sweden" in Beijing where she would attend a presentation on a new Sino-Swedish project of children's books.
