Taiwan to ease limits on mainland investment

Taiwan authorities say the limits imposed on some Chinese mainland investments into Taiwan will slowly start to ease. A strict assessment though, will be made for each individual case. They also hope that Taiwan will not prevent the inflow of the mainland's capital by complicating procedures.

The local business community also backs the softening of the rules regarding mainland investments, as Taiwan investment into the mainland is much larger compared to the mainland's investment into Taiwan.
