The eighth World Summit on Internet and Multimedia will be held in Fuzhou, capital city of Fujian province, on Nov 27.

Jointly organized by the International Federation of Multimedia Associations, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Fujian provincial government, the summit will attract about 300 experts and specialists from around the world in the multimedia industry to discuss the industry's development trends.

The two-day event will feature seminars, forums and trade shows. A digital film festival will also be held during the summit.

Initiated by FIAM in 2004, the World Summit on Internet and Multimedia is a global event aimed at facilitating cooperative solutions to challenges facing the world's multimedia industry.

Following Beijing and Shenyang, Fuzhou is the third mainland city to host the summit.
