The past decade has witnessed stable and strong growth of the Chinese economy. And it's also been a crucial decade of transforming the economic structure.
With an average annual economic growth of 10.7 percent between 2003 and 2011, China has become the second largest economy in the world. It's share of the global economy has risen from 4.4 percent in 2002, to 10 percent in 2011.
China's economic achievement doesn't only lie in quantity, but also quality--Efforts to restructure the economy were carried out throughout the decade. The contribution of domestic consumption to economic growth has risen from 92 percent in 2002 to 104 percent in 2011.
