The non-performing loan ratio of Chinese banks remains low, on a par with the beginning of this year and far below the level of 1,000 large global banks, Shang Fulin, chairman of the China Banking Regulatory Commission (CBRC), remarked at a press conference in Beijing Sunday.
According to Shang, the banks' non-performing loan ratio this year is rising due to changes in the operating conditions of some industries, but the banking risk is still controllable.
