Chinese authorities have unveiled 10 measures, aimed at hastening the development of cross-border economic cooperation zones and open up the country's border areas.
The measures will provide loans with discounted interest rates for infrastructure construction in these zones. They also include a 15 percent tax discount for companies operating within prioritized industries in western China before the end of 2020.
Priorities will also be given for land management, customs supervision, labour service cooperation, project contracting and personnel exchanges. China has set up 15 cross-border economic cooperation zones in its border regions since 1992.
