The volume of total exports of goods in Hong Kong rose 10.2 percent in November from a year ago, the city's statistics department said here on Thursday.
The volume of re-exports of goods increased 10.5 percent in November from a year earlier, and that of domestic exports fell 3. 6 percent. Concurrently, the volume of imports of goods gained 7.6 percent.
The prices of total exports of goods rose 1.2 percent, with the prices of re-exports up 1.1 percent and those of domestic exports up 2.9 percent. The prices of imports of goods climbed 2.1 percent.
Comparing the first eleven months of 2012 with the same period in 2011, the volume of Hong Kong's total exports of goods fell 1.3 percent, with the volume of re-exports of goods down 1.1 percent and that of domestic exports down 14.3 percent. The volume of imports of goods increased 0.1 percent.
As regards price changes in the first eleven months of 2012 over the same period in 2011, the prices of total exports of goods rose 3.6 percent, with the prices of re-exports of goods up 3.6 percent and those of domestic exports up 2.5 percent. The prices of imports of goods gained 3.4 percent.
