Qihoo won’t halt plug-in browsers for tickets buying

Qihoo 360 Technology Co said Thursday it will continue to provide users with plug-in browsers that can speed up the online train-ticketing process, despite the Ministry of Railway (MOR)'s suggestion that it halt such plug-in browsers.

The MOR should upgrade its ticket booking website 12306.cn instead of lashing out at software makers, Qihoo said.

Cheng Xiandong, an official from the MOR, told the People's Daily Tuesday that plug-in browsers have generated a huge amount of traffic to its website, and suggested related software developers halt such browsers.
