Chinese stocks open slightly lower Friday

Chinese stocks opened slightly lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened almost flat at2,364.54.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened at 9,630.87, down 0.11 percent from the previous close.

China's Purchasing Managers' Index for the manufacturing sector fell to 50.1 percent in February from 50.4 percent in January, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing said Friday.
