Tencent will start capitalizing on its voice messaging application WeChat in the coming months, The Wall Street Journal reported Tuesday citing Ma Huateng, CEO of Tencent Holdings.
According to Ma, China's largest Internet company by market value will launch mobile social games on WeChat soon. Tencent will also add payment services, the journal reported.
WeChat's recent establishment of an office in the US aims to assist with its overseas expansion, Ma said in Beijing, noting that Tencent is interested in acquiring newborn companies in the US that require small investments.
