China's trade with the European Union - the country's biggest trade partner - decreased 1.9 percent year-on-year to $124.41 billion in the first quarter, the General Administration of Customs said on Wednesday.
Bilateral trade with the United States, the country's biggest export market last year, rose 10.8 percent year-on-year to $118.24 billion in the same period.
Bilateral trade between the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong surged 71.2 percent year-on-year in the first quarter to $109.88 billion.
The country's trade volume with the ASEAN rose 15.5 percent year-on-ear to $100.26 billion.
Meanwhile, bilateral trade between China and Japan dropped 10.7 percent to $70.87 billion in the same period.
