US electronics retailer Best Buy Co will continue its development in China, a PR representative with the company's Chinese operation told the Global Times Sunday.
A report by Reuters Thursday said that the company had retreated from the European market and was likely to leave China, whose contribution to the company's total revenues is not significant.
The decision on the European operation did not "suggest any similar action" in other markets, said the representative.
The company has high confidence in the Chinese market and a new CEO in charge of China business is expected in June, she added.
