The yuan's recent strength has boosted the number of Chinese students deciding to study abroad. More and more students are heading to the United States, where the cost of living has dropped by nearly 10 percent.
The yuan's appreciation against the US dollar and the Japanese yen in recent months has triggered a huge passion for study abroad.
Data shows the costs of studying in the US and commonwealth countries has reduced by nearly 8 percent due to yuan's appreciation.
Staff in educational institution said, "In the past, the major expense of studying in the US was nearly 300,000 yuan per year. Now, the expense has lowered to around 250,000 yuan as yuan appreciated this year."
Besides, the yuan's appreciation also stimulates Chinese people enthusiasm for emigration. Analysts say most of them will invest in local assets such as stocks or homes, in order to avoid their assets value shrinking.
