The Logistics Performance Index (LPI), one of benchmark measures showing the overall picture of China's logistics sector, was recorded at 53.2 percent in May, down from 54.8 percent in April, the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing reported Wednesday.
A reading above 50 percent indicates expansion, while a reading below 50 percent indicates contraction.
The domestic logistics sector maintained a steady growth momentum in general in May due to the country's economic recovery.
