EU fine to cost jobs

The EU's recent punitive duties on solar panels imported from China is a heavy blow to both sides, the International Finance News reported Thursday, citing a company executive.

It is estimated that the EU's punitive tariffs will result in more than 500,000 jobs lost in China and cut nearly 300,000 job opportunities in the EU as well, Qu Xiaohua, CEO of Canadian Solar, one of the world's largest solar companies, was quoted by the newspaper as saying.
