The world's largest convenience store company, 7-Eleven, plans to open 300 stores in Chongqing, it announced on Monday.
7-Eleven is operating in a number of Chinese cities, including Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai.
7-Eleven stores in Chongqing will be run by Mitsui & Co Ltd, Seven-Eleven (China) Investment Co Ltd and Southern Hope Industrial Co Ltd, a subsidiary of China's New Hope Group Co Ltd.
7-Eleven has about 8,000 stores in the United States and Canada and more than 40,000 7-Eleven and other convenience stores worldwide, according to the company's website.
