Chinese shares closed lower Wednesday, as reports of possible IPO resumption rekindled investors' concerns.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 0.73 percent, or 15.84points, to end at 2,143.45. The Shenzhen Component Index shed 0.59 percent, or 49.62 points, to 8,421.24.
