Six detergent products, including Adidas AG's Sport Energy shower gel, failed a recent quality test by the Beijing Consumer Association, Beijing Youth Daily reported Sunday.
The consumer rights protection body randomly tested a total of 58 different detergent products, including 19 brands of dishwashing soaps, 18 handwashing liquids and 21 shower gels, from several major supermarkets in the capital city.
The test showed that Adidas' shower gel did not contain enough surface-active chemicals according to the national standard, it said, noting that with less amounts of the component, both its effect and its cost of production would be lowered.
