FedEx Express, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp, has expanded its operations at Beijing Capital International Airport.
The new facility is located in the Beijing Tianzhu Free Trade Zone, which is dedicated to high-end industries that support the development of Beijing's economy.
The upgraded facility is nearly four times the size of the previous one. Its sorting capacity is also nearly four times greater and can deal with 6,000 packages per hour.
"The expansion of our facility at Beijing Airport is part of our long-term investment to support market growth in Beijing and North China," said Wilson Chung, vice-president of international services at FedEx China.
