Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi Corp sold 7.03 million mobile phones in the first half of this year, realizing revenue of 13.3 billion yuan ($2.16 billion), it announced on Tuesday.
According to a press release sent to China Daily, Xiaomi disclosed that half-year revenue in 2013 passed last year's total of 12.6 billion yuan.
Lei Jun, chief executive officer of Xiaomi, attributed the good performance to more influential branding, better partner support and an improved logistics and warehouse system.
As of June, Xiaomi had more than 14 million smartphone users in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan, the press release said.
