The European Union announced Tuesday that it had decided to re-impose five-year anti-dumping duties ranging from 18.1 to 42.3 percent on ironing boards from China.
The EU has raised the duties for Chinese exports, which will have a negative effect on domestic ironing board exporters, China's Ministry of Commerce said in a statement Tuesday.
In 2007, the EU levied anti-dumping duties of as much as 38.1 percent on ironing boards from China. As a result, Chinese producers' market share in the EU fell to 15 percent in 2011 from 45 percent in 2008, according to Reuters.
