China will release its latest Top 500 Enterprises list on August 30 in Kunming, Yunnan Province, a list spokesperson said at a press conference Tuesday in Beijing.
The Top 500 Enterprises of China is a ranking of the largest enterprises in China's mainland as chosen by the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC) and China Enterprise Directors Association.
The 2013 list is based on the companies' 2012 revenues. Two other lists, China's Top 500 Manufacturers and Top 500 Service Companies, will also be made public.
Unlike the China Top 500 list released by Fortune magazine weeks ago, the CEC's list includes companies that are not publicly traded, such as the State Grid, CITIC Group and FAW Group.
