Chinese stocks opened higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,000.79 points, up 0.54 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.54 percent to open at 7,849.55 points.
The Political Bureau of the ruling Communist Party's Central Committee said Tuesday that China's economy will maintain steady growth in the second half of this year.
