Youku Tudou profit up

Online video company Youku Tudou lnc's net revenue grew 30 percent year-on-year to 753 million in the second quarter, and its net loss during the same period reduced 40 percent from one year earlier to 105 million yuan, the company said Friday.

The company's net income from advertising amounted to 726.6 million yuan, meeting the company's expectations. The firm attributed the growth in advertising net revenue to the increased use by brand advertisers and the rising average spend per advertiser.
