Chinese shares gave up sudden morning surge and ended in negative territory on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.65 percent, or 13.43 points, to end at 2,068.45.
The Shenzhen Component Index shed 0.74 percent, or 60.78 points, to finish at 8,168.09.
