Chinese stocks opened lower on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 2,081.97 points, down 0.17 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index fell 0.19 percent to open at 8,269.82 points.
Everbright Securities, the brokerage that roiled Shanghai's stock market with a technical problem on Friday, plunged by the daily limit of 10 percent shortly after it resumed trading on Tuesday.
