The latest draft amendments to China's Trademark Law suggest raising the maximum amount of compensation for infringing the exclusive right to use registered trade marks to 3 million yuan ($490,200) from the current 500,000 yuan, the Xinhua News Agency reported Monday.
The first such draft last December suggested raising the upper limit to 1 million yuan and further raising the limit to 2 million yuan in June.
