Hong Kong stocks close 0.99 pct higher Tuesday

Hong Kong stocks rose 266 points, or 0.99 percent, to close at 22,976.65 points on Tuesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,988.81 and 22, 842.88. Turnover totaled 78.24 billion HK dollars (about 10.08 billion U.S. dollars).
