The US International Trade Commission made a preliminary ruling on September 6 that two Chinese electronics companies Huawei and ZTE did not infringe patents of US enterprises, the Ministry of Commerce (MOC) said on its website Tuesday.
The two companies were accused of violating Section 337 of the US Tariff Act since August 2011.
It was the second successful case in which Chinese enterprises won a preliminary ruling toward Section 337 investigation, which shows the strong competitiveness of Chinese companies, and boosts their confidence in facing the investigation, the MOC said.
