The second Zijinshan Summit for Entrepreneurs across the Taiwan Strait will be held in Nanjing city of Jiangsu Province, on Nov. 4 and 5, a mainland spokeswoman said at a regular press conference on Wednesday.
The summit, which bears the theme "new cross-Strait cooperative situation: challenges and countermeasures," will include seven sub-forums focusing on microeconomic and industry development trends, said Fan Liqing, spokeswoman for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council.
Summit council members, business leaders, famous entrepreneurs, and renowned financial experts from both sides will attend the summit to exchange views on deepening cross-Strait industrial cooperation.
At the press conference, Fan said that the 10th forum on information technology (IT) standards will be held on Oct. 21 and 22 in Taipei.
Xiang Junbo, chairman of the China Insurance Regulatory Commission, will co-preside a cooperative conference on cross-Strait insurance supervision with his Taiwanese counterpart in Taipei on Oct. 17, according to the spokeswoman.
Fan also commented on the first cross-Strait peace forum, which concluded on Oct. 12, saying that the forum was groundbreaking and set up an important platform for civil political dialogue across the Strait.
